The mission of the Community Center of Hope is to identify, organize, and facilitate programs and services for improving the quality of life of Hope, Indiana and all the surrounding area.
We’ve been serving the Flat Rock and Haw Creek Townships with many programs, services and events. By delivering inter-generational programming and services, the Community Center of Hope strengthens Bartholomew County’s capacity to deal with the vast demographic changes that are ahead, is an integral part of the educational fabric of the community, and promotes diversity and inclusion by bringing together a wide-cross section of the Flat Rock and Haw Creek townships and the towns and communities within.

Job Duration: Annual 12 month Contracted position
Type of Job: Regular Full-Time (30 hours or more)
Hours: Primarily weekdays, although some week night and weekends are required.

About Us: Community Center of Hope consists of the Education Campus, Community Gymnasium, Food Bank, and Senior/Community Programming. The Center owns the campus, adjoining house, and one third of the retail block on Jackson Street, Hope Town Square (currently land). We are a United Way member Agency.
Job Requirements: Applicants living in Bartholomew County are preferred. Candidate must submit to a Federal Background Check, TB test, plus routine health and drug screens. Should know CPR and First Aid training. Must have a working knowledge of Non-Profit business models; strong interpersonal, presentation and writing skills; and grant writing/fundraising experience. Must have reliable transportation.
Job Preferences: Applicants who live in either Flat Rock or Haw Creek Townships of Bartholomew County, and/or have earned a degree in Business, Education, or Social Services. Applicants who have working knowledge of Logic Charts, Outcome Measurements, and Budget transparency are preferred. Applicants with 1-2 years experience in this role will be considered first.
Job Description: The Executive Director is responsible for securing funding through various grant cycles and processes; Federal, State and local community grants as well as through community fundraisers. He/she is to prepare reports for Grantors as well as to the Board of Directors. The Executive Director answers to and takes direction from the Board of Directors. The Executive Director works along with the Education Director and Outreach Director as well as various community members and key stakeholders to coordinate services and outcomes to meet the Center’s Mission Statement. Other duties may be assigned by the Board of Directors.
